NASBITE Conference Wrap Up

At the end of March, our Cleveland‑based team traveled to St. Louis to attend the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) Annual Training Conference, which featured sessions on topics ranging from AI in global trade to IEEPA refunds and Peru’s megaprojects.

Global Trade Excellence Across Ohio

Ohio was well recognized this year for our efforts promoting international trade with multiple awards:

  • David Delgado, Cleveland SBDC EAN - Outstanding Service Award - Recognized for his work updating the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) Exam

  • Ohio Export Internship - Program Excellence Award

  • Youngstown Export Assistance Network - Program Excellence Award

  • Ohio State - Winners of undergraduate student case competition

    Nate Ward Elected President of NASBITE

Maybe the most exciting news from the conference is that our very own director of the Cleveland SBDC EAN, Nate Ward, was elected to be the next President of NASBITE. Congratulations to Nate as he begins this new leadership role with NASBITE! We all know he will do an outstanding job taking on the organization's mission to advance global business practices, education, and training.
